G.DMT / G.lite Offerings From Familiar Vendors

We have summarized the offerings of the vendors we hear mentioned most often in conversations with our customers about DSL. At least 30 other vendors offer or plan to offer more than 100 other DSL products, including many for G.DMT / G.lite service. This is not meant as an endorsement of the vendors or products listed, or a criticism of the very large number not included.

Note:

  • G.DMT line cards should interoperate with both G.DMT and G.lite CPE, making them versatile where both types of service are offered. G.lite line cards interoperate only with G.lite CPE, but usually support more lines per card, making the cost- per- port lower where only G.lite is offered.
  • Most of the products listed have capabilities beyond the G.DMT / G.lite transport and POTS features mentioned here, e.g., mount SDSL, HDSL, or VDSL line cards in the same shelf.
